Week of July 25th-29th

Classroom: Ositos
Blog Title: Summer Camp
Week: July 25th to July 29th, 2016
Weekly Featured Theme: Little Creators

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little creators. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore, experiment and create inventions using a variety of recycled materials. We will discuss how to create products with recycled material and turn them into reusable products.

We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills. Children will have fun while working on different art projects through the week. We will build a house for the birds, create a collage with magazine paper, make musical instruments using different materials and a garden pot using milk bottles.

Thank you once again for all your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life.

We will appreciate if you can help us by bringing this recycled materials

📄 Materials for Special Projects/Activities

Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.
Bring the following recycled materials: milk carton, water gallon bottle and used magazines on Monday.
🔆 Friendly Reminders
Check your child’s cubby and remove everything and bring new set of clothings that is appropriate to sunny weather.
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag.
Apply sunscreen to your child at home in the mornings.
Bring a hat for your child if he/she is sensitive to the sun

📆 Holidays & Upcoming Events
