🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Ositos Parents,
The last week of Summer Camp is finally here and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity  to teach and take care of your little children. We feel special and value our work and we are glad that the children have experienced new learning adventures with hands-on play during the summer. This week we will learn to be Little Clowns and Magicians. We will discuss about the animals and the magicians in the circus and we have scheduled exciting learning activities related to this theme that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills such as making magic, creating puppets, painting our faces, reading short stories about the life in the circus, etc.

📄 Materials for Special Projects/Activities
      Have your child wear swimsuit and water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag, swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.

      Check your child’s cubby and remove everything.
      Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in a ziploc bag.
      Apply sunscreen to your child at home in the mornings.
      Bring a hat for your child if he/she is sensitive to the sun.

🔠 What are we learning?
 
Dear Ositos Parents,
We are getting down to the last few weeks of Summer Camp! This week we will learn to be Little Athletes. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore sports. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor, cognitive-sensory and language skills. One of them is the Olympics Parade at Sff! Children should wear sports clothes for the parade. They will also participate in competitions with Monitos and Sapitos and on Friday, they will have so much fun on our Trike-a- Thon.

Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little creators. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore, experiment and create inventions using a variety of recycled materials. We will discuss how to create products with recycled material and turn them into reusable products.

We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills. Children will have fun while working on different art projects through the week. We will build a house for the birds, create a collage with magazine paper, make musical instruments using different materials and a garden pot using milk bottles.

🔠 What are we learning?
Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little scientists! We will discover and enjoy many new experiences together. We will be creating art figures of sea creatures after learning interesting facts about the wonders of the ocean. We will be also discussing about colors and how we can mix colors to create new ones. 

We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore and experiment with science. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as discovering how a flower petals can change color if they are submerged in colored water, playing with green slime that we will prepare ourselves and exploring microscopic organisms by looking at them using a microscope.

Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little gardeners and we will discuss about nature, trees and plants. We will continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the opportunity to explore and experiment with nature. We have scheduled exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as planting flower seeds in our own pots to decorate our garden, collecting dry leaves to create a collage, creating a flower with clay, having a camping day and visit the Flower Shop at Sff! that will be located in the lobby.

🔠 What are we learning?

Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to be little readers. Children will learn about reading and its benefits. Reading has a significant number of benefits and it will enable children to get knowledge, stimulate them, help them with vocabulary expansion, develop analytical skills and improve focus. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills. It will be a week of Princesses, Knights, castles and dragons. Children will build and paint castles, dramatize their favorite characters and participate in a Royal Parade of Knights and Princesses.

This week we will learn to be little travelers and we will celebrate the country where we live. The children will learn about interesting facts of USA. We are scheduling exciting learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and cognitive-sensory skills such as pretending to travel across different places in the US while looking at diverse landscape that US offers  and participating in a flag parade on Friday and having a picnic while listening to the national anthem of the United States of America.
