“Cancion de los Sentidos”
Con mis cinco sentidos yo aprenderé
A ver todo a mi alrededor,
Con mis cinco sentidos puedo ver
El cielo con su color,
Escucharte a ti eso me hace feliz
Y sentir el sol sobre mi,
Saborear la miel y poder oler
Las flores que hay en el jardín.
Con mis cinco sentidos….
Poderte abrazar y también escuchar
Mi maestra en Sff
Oler, saborear, escuchar y sentir
El amor que sientes por mi!!!
Con mis cinco sentidos…

Poem by Theme (Poema por tema):
Miramos con los ojos
Por la nariz puedo oler
Tocamos con las manos
Sentimos por la piel
Oimos por las orejas
Cuando escuchamos bien
Y con la lengua yo disfruto
Galletitas con miel.

Nos sirven para oler, oir, ver
Tocar y degustar
Los tienes en tu cuerpo

September 15th – September 19th

Class and Teachers:  Ositos Classroom/ Miss Amparo- Miss Iris

Week of : September 15th – September 19th

Theme of the Month/Week:  How we grow and change /Como crecemos y cambiamos.

Hello dear Parents, this week we will focus in the social-emotional, and language areas related to the theme “How we grow and change”. For this reason we would like to ask you to bring by Monday, some of your child cloths she/he used to wear when she/he was a baby, and special toys they used to play with when she/he was one, two or three years old, (some examples: a pacifier, a little blanket or bottle, a teddy bear, small shoes or shirts) that material will help us to  explain the changes that he/she has been experiencing by growing up.  It will be also very helpful if you can bring some pictures of you (Daddy, Mommy) when you were babies, teens, and your child’s picture when he/she was a baby.
Another important point that we would like to share with you is that learning to listen attentively is important for both,  social interaction and academic success. Looking for opportunities to play simple listening games with your children  will help them to finely attune their listening skills and develop auditory discrimination skills. Here you can find some simple games (riddles, twister) to play with your child.

The first Family Project was a huge success. We can see the creativity of our children and their families, but we are still missing some so please don’t forget to bring it back this week.
We believe that family (parents, grandparents, siblings or other relatives) involvement in the classroom has a great impact in children’s development and academic success.
