Theme of the Week: “The Circus”
Week of August 3th – August 7th

Salutation and highlights of week:

Hola Ositos parents,
We are pleased to see the participation of the Ositos in the activities of our summer camp; we are in the penultimate week of our summer camp. This week we will enjoy the wonderful and fantastic world of the circus. We will pretend to be trapeze artists and magicians. We will also have face painting for our Ositos and other fun experiences filled with creativity and imagination.  We will have many activities, including: soccer, playing music, splash day, reading stories, and much more!
On Monday, please come with a picture of a visit to the circus or an object seen in the circus. On Friday, please come with a clown costume, wizard or a circus character. Thank you in advance.

Important Activities next week:

Our splash days are on Wednesday and Friday morning, each week. Be sure to send your child wearing their water clothes and sunscreen.
Also make sure to bring the following items, labeled with your child’s name:
·        Towel
·        Water shoes
·        Tote Bag
·        Bathing suit

Theme of the Week:  “Princesses and Knights”
 
Hola Ositos Parents,
Welcome to the seventh week of our Summer Camp 2015!
 
We will have a week full of fun and excitement! Our Ositos will play as princes, dragons, knights, and princesses.  We will create crowns, armor and castles and use these items in our parade.
 
At home you could motivate our children with stories about countries that have queens and kings.
 
Upcoming Activities next week:
Monday: Please bring a toy that follows our theme of the week.
Wednesday: Splash day
Thursday: Zumba class
Friday: Knights and Princesses Parade / Splash day

Week of July 20th-24th

Theme of the week: “The Dinosaurs”
Week of July 20th – July 24th
 
Hola Ositos Parents:
We are pleased to see the participation of the Ositos in summer camp activities. This week we have many activities planned, including: learning about dinosaurs pretending to be paleontologists, and playing soccer. We’ll also be outside, listening to music, enjoying splash day, reading stories, and many more activities filled with creativity and imagination.

Special Activities
 
On Monday 20: Please come with a small paintbrush for a special activity.
On Friday 24: Bring a small portion of grapes for a special and fun activity!

The Ositos are grateful for their support in the activities carried out during the summer camp, to motivate our children to suggest this week at home, see a short video about dinosaurs and paleontologist. 

Recyclable Materials Needed This Week:
Part of our mission at summer camp is to work with recyclable materials. This week we will be collecting cones of paper towels and toothpaste boxes for our activities. Please bring as many as you can. Be on the lookout next week for what we will be recycling!

 Theme of the week:The Zoo”

Hola Ositos parents:
Welcome to the fifth week of our Summer Camp 2015!
We will have a week full of fun and excitement! Our Ositos will imitate the sound and movements of different zoo animals. We will make special “Zoo Animals” hat and mask, to use during our fun festival at the end of the week while pretending we are at the zoo!
For our festival, we are kindly asking parents to help us by donating big boxes, which will helps up to create zoo animal’s habitat. Thank you!
At home you could motivate our children with stories about the importance of zoos and conservation of endangered species.

Important Activities next week:
Monday: Please bring a stuffed zoo animal for your child. 
Wednesday: Splash day
Friday: “Animal Festival” masks and hats / Splash day

Week of July 6th-10th

Week of July 6th – 10th
Theme of the week: “The Aquatic World"

Hola Ositos Parents,
Welcome to the fourth week of summer camp 2015!
This week we will enjoy many activities and fun experiences filled with creativity and imagination in aquatic world.  We have the following outside activities: a singalong, soccer, music, sea-themed yoga, reading, a “Party under the Sea” and much more! We are happy to have your children join us this summer.

For our arts and crafts this week, we would like your collaboration by donating shoeboxes or lids of plastic containers to design our fishbowl. On Monday the 6th, please send your child with their favorite toy or doll sea for a special activity. On Friday the 10th we will party under sea, to this fun activity children can come characterized by mermaid, pirate, sailor or some animal de Mar. Thank you in advance.
 
The Ositos are grateful for their support from their dear parents in the activities carried out in the summer camp. To motivate your children at home, you can show them pictures of the beach, ocean, or even the aquarium!
 
Splash days
We are happy to announce we will start our Splash days next week. Our Splash days are Wednesday and Friday mornings each week. Be sure to send your child wearing their water clothes and sunscreen.
 
Also make sure to bring the follow items, labeled with your child’s name:

Important Upcoming Dates:
·         Friday July 10th:  We will have a special activity called “A Party under the Ocean” you can send your child wearing an ocean-related costume (i.e. pirate, siren, sailor, and sea animal.)
