The next week we will be taking about the theme “ Mi cuerpo/My body”

We will do different activities such as games, songs and use of images for the children enjoy while learning.

The words of the week are:

We will working with the vowel Ii and the vocabulary is:

Special Events:

*Congratulations to Madeleine Mount, who is our first child of the week of the new school year. Madeleine has had a great adaptation in Spanish For Fun!.  Felicidades!!!!

*September 6, we will begin our special activity named Art Together.

The children take home the body shape and they will complete the parts according to their creativity.  The children can bring their arts as soon they finish.

Homework:

*September 4, the children take home a task related to body parts and the numbers.  The task will be in your child cubby.

Week of August 26th - 30!!!

Hola Ositos parents:

We hope you had a nice week!

Next week we ended the theme, “Spanish for fun and me”, making a poster of photos of me and Miss Kenia.  The children will know our hobbies, favorite foods and colors and we will also talk about our family.

The words of the week are:

·                    Mis maestras-my teachers

·                    El pasatiempo-the hobbie

·                    El cartel-the poster

·                    La foto-the photo

Note:

We are reviewing the vowels and the children are learning to differentiate between uppercase and lowercase vowels. Next week our Ositos will practice tracing and writing the vowel Aa and we will do different activities for children to recognize the vowel Ee.

The words of the week associate with the vowel Ee are:

el elefante- the elephant

el espejo-the mirror

la estrella-the star

la escoba-the broom

la escalera-the stairs

Emilio(Male name for recognition of uppercase E)

Homework:

Practice writing the vowel Aa and also your child may bring toys, images or other objects that begin with the vowel E (It could be any day of the week, but preferable on Mondays)

Week of August 19th - 23rd !!!

Hola ositos parents:

We hope that each of you have had a nice week!

We want to let you know that Miss Kenia and I, are very proud of our Ositos, their first week of school has been fantastic! They are doing great adapting to the new classroom, teachers, and rules.  Everyone is following the routine successfully and this is our fist step toward a good learning.  Good job our ositos!!

Next week we will continue talking about the theme, Spanish for fun! and me.  We will give emphasis to the use of the calendar; days of the week, numbers and months of the year.  Also, every day we will be talking about the rules of the classroom and their importance.  This week the children have had a good behavior.  Keep it up!

Special events:

Congratulations to our first girls who celebrate their birthday in our new school year, Madeline and Valentina Agudelo, Feliz Cumpleanos!!!

Homework:

After observing the children this week in all areas of  their development, we noticed most children show difficulty writing their names; therefore we will need all your support by helping your child to hold the pencil appropriately and write her/his name using uppercase letter and lowercase letter. Knowing this and working on it from the beginning will be a good start.

Week of August 13th - 16th !!!

Welcome Ositos Parents!

I am happy to have you in our Ositos Classroom, together with your support parents our children will experience great learning and fun school year.

This first week I will be assessing the children, we will be talking about the theme “Spanish for fun! And me”.  We will give emphasis to know each child profile for example, full name and age.  Also we will talk about how they feel in the Ositos classroom.  We will identify the rules of the classroom and we will talk about the routine using pictures. We will be watching and taking notes of the strengths and weaknesses of each child to meet and begin working with them.

Special Note

Today  we will say goodbye to:  Angel, Truman and Tyson.  Good Luck in Kindergarten and parents, thank you very much for your support and affection.  We will miss you!

Week of August 5th - 9th !!!

Hola Ositos parents:

We hope you had a great week!

We had a wonderful parade of princesses and knights.  The children really enjoyed the activity. Great job Ositos!
This week we finished our summer camp talking about the theme :”El circo/The circus”.

The activities for the week are as follows:

*Monday- Pajama day, also the children will imitate the animals we see in the circus.

*Tuesday- We will make clown hats

*Wednesday- The children will dress as a clown

*Thursday- We will make paper balls to juggle

*Friday- Summer closure, recreation of a circus: games, dance, songs and lots of Fun!

***Congratulations to Angel for her birthday, Feliz Cumpleaños!!!!
