What are we learning?
Dear Ositos Parents,
This week the children will
be taught about the universe. Children will discover the sun, moon, stars, the
planet Earth and other planets of the solar system through play. Children will
explore the earth and will learn the names and characteristics of all the
planets that are part of our solar system.
We have scheduled exciting
learning activities that will allow us strengthen motor and cognitive-sensory
skills. Some of these activities for the
children involve art crafts and drama play. Children will pretend to be
astronauts and will experience space travel while observing the stars and they
will also create their astronaut suit and draw the planets.
Thank you once again for all
your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s
life.

Friendly Reminders
●
Check your child’s cubby and bring extra set of clothing that is
appropriate to weather.
●
Take home art crafts from your child’s cubby.
●
Check your child’s journal daily.
●
If your child has a astronaut cap or something that looks
similar, bring it on Tuesday, May 31st for our space project.
●
Bring a small lantern for Friday, June 3 for our camping
project.
●
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your
child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet
applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If
sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to
fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and
mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and
mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in
a ziploc bag.
📆 Holidays & Upcoming Events

Memorial Day on Monday, May 30th. School will be closed.
●
Camping Project on Friday, June 3rd.
●
Report cards will be sent home next week.
●
June 13th- Parent teacher conference. If you require
a meeting to discuss about your child’s development and evaluation, please fill
out your name, mark the day and time you would like to meet in the form that
will be placed outside of the classroom.
●
Graduation ceremony on June 11th.
●
Father’s Day Celebration- June 17th at 11:30am

Miles Scott is celebrating his birthday in June 2nd! He is
turning 5! Happy Birthday to you, Miles! We wish you the best and hope you have
a wonderful day!
