Important Information  / introducing our New Volunteer

Dear Ositos Parents, we would like to introduce Gladys D' Estefano. She will be joining us for the next months to complete her practicum hours required for her degree completion. Expect to see her on Mondays.

Following please find her introduction:

Dear parents of Spanish for fun!
I am Gladys D’Estefano, a student enrolled in the Early Childhood Education Associate Degree program at Wake Technical Community College. To meet the requirements of its curriculum and to be a graduated in December 2014, I need to complete 144 hours of practicum in an accredited Pre-Kindergarten, and Spanish for Fun is the perfect place to do it.

I am a Psychologist graduated at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Child Development Specialist who have a NC Infant/Toddler/Family Specialist Certification. Although it is my first time working as teacher in a preschool, I have 20 years of expertise as Clinical Psychologist working with young children.

I believe that during the practicum, I can provide valuable support to the team at Spanish for Fun by helping kids learn in a fun, creative and safe environment. Furthermore, as a parent facilitator at the program “Crianza con Cariño” from SafeChild and Smart Star, I also can support and help to you and your family with the growth and wellbeing of your child.
Thank you for allow me to share this time with you and your child.

            Gladys
