Week
of ( Semana de): February 22nd-26th
Theme
of the Week (Tema de la Semana): “How
things work” – Science in the daily life
Dear
Ositos Parents:
This week Sff! will host the Science Fair Week, you will have the
opportunity to appreciate some scientific experiments in which your children
have been carrying out research and critical thinking.
At the same time, our Ositos will be
learning everything about magnets, how they have two poles, how they attract
each other, how they repel or push away, and what a magnetic field is. They
will also be learning about elements that can combine or mix, and the
importance of the 3R (reduce, reuse and recycle).
Our objectives by areas this week
are:
Socio-emotional: Work in a
team.
Cognitive: Group
numbers in 10’s up to 50.
Psychomotor: Recognize
left and right side of the body.
Language:
Identify
words that star with the same syllable.
Literacy Activity: Letter of
the week “Ff”.
Tips:
·
Play with your child
“go fishing” with magnets.
·
Teach your
child how to take care of the environment.
·
Talk to your
child about the importance and benefits of recycle.
Homework
of the week:
Make sure to take home your child’s
notebook this Friday to reinforce the activities that we are working in class (LETTER Ff). Please bring them back on
Monday.
Remember,
kids are more successful in school when parents take an active interest in
their homework — it shows kids that what they do is important.
Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos
especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana):
This week our Traveling Pet “Willy” will visit Eva Sofia’s house. He is so
excited to have fun with Eva Sofia’s and his family. Don’t forget to record
your memories (pictures) to share with your classmates.
