Miss Amparo- Miss Luz
Week of ( Semana de):March 21st-25th
Theme of the Week (Tema de la Semana): “My country” – “Mi país”

Dear Ositos Parents,
Spring has arrived, this is the season when flowers begin to bloom and the weather gets a little warmer. Many people spend more time doing things outside, like having picnics or going to the park. At the school our children also enjoy this season so much. This week we will have our special Easter celebration, the Easter Bunny will visit Sff! and the children will have the opportunity to go for an egg hunting. We will talk about the story of the Easter Bunny and make some Easter art crafts.

Our objectives by areas this week, are:
Socio-emotional: Draw the human body with details.
Cognitive: Seriation.
Psychomotor: Cut in a circular motion
Language: Identify opposites
Literacy Activity: Letter “Xx”.

Tips:
·         Go to the park with your child and talk to him/her about the flowers in bloom.
·         Plan a picnic on your backyard or somewhere outdoors, to have the opportunity to talk to your child about the nature (plants, animals, weather, etc.)

Homework of the week:
Make sure to take home your child’s notebook this Friday to reinforce the activities that we are working in class. Please bring them back on Monday.
Remember, kids are more successful in school when parents take an active interest in their homework — it shows kids that what they do is important.
Special Events, Welcome and Birthdays (Eventos especiales, Bienvenidas y Estudiante de la Semana):

This week our Traveling Pet “Willy” will visit Alaina’s house. He is so excited to have fun with Alaina and her family. Don’t forget to record your memories (pictures) to share with your classmates.

Friendly Reminders:
·         Our Ositos will have their Egg hunting on March 23. We would be very grateful for your donations to this event. Remember to avoid allergens such as nuts or candy that could present a choking hazard. Also, all items should be packaged. Some examples of fillings are: play dough (in small containers), stickers, graham crackers, or goldfish crackers.
·         Don’t forget to take home your child’s blanket on Friday and bring it back on Monday.
·         Make sure your child washes his/her hands when arriving and leaving the classroom.
·         Family Story Time:  Our children love to listen to stories from their relatives. Let us know if you would like to join us at 11:45 am, any day of the week.

Important Upcoming Dates:
March 23: Easter Bunny visits Sff!
March 25: School is closed (Good Friday)
March 31: International Party

Thank you in advance, to all our wonderful parents for your donations to our egg hunting.
