Week
of December 14th – December 18th
Theme
of the week: “Mis Tradiciones Familiares /My Family Traditions”
Dear Ositos Parents,
This week our
children will be working on Christmas art projects to both, decorate the
classroom, and to take home. They will also learn about Christmas celebrations
and traditions around the world, on Wednesday 16th they will perform “Dulce
Navidad” in our Holiday Party, and on Friday 18th they will receive Santa’s
visit. They will also sing Christmas
Carols. It will be a week full of joy and beautiful activities to be prepared
to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year.
Our objectives by
areas this week, are:
Socio-emotional:
Enjoy engaging in group activities.
Cognitive: Identifying
similarities and differences.
Psychomotor:
Recognize the right and left side of the body.
Language: Sing
Christmas carols in Spanish.
Literacy Activity:
Letter of the week “Rr.”
Tips:
·
Are you ready for Christmas? Talk to your child about
the meaning of Christmas.
·
Help your children experience the joy of giving some
hand-made and meaningful gifts this Christmas (for Grandma, Grandpa, or
siblings) with inexpensive or recycled material.
Homework of
the week:
Make sure to take home your child’s notebook
this Friday to reinforce the activities that we are working in class (LETTER
Rr). Please bring them back on Monday.
Remember, kids are more successful in school when parents take an
active interest in their homework — it shows kids that what they do is
important.
Holiday Party Rehearsal
We would like to kindly ask all families to send your child's dress or costume on Monday for our formal final group rehearsal. You can leave them in your child's cubby and we will help your child dress up. We are ready for our performance!
