Theme of the Week: Conociendo las plantas / Knowing plants / Types of Plants and Taking Care of them.

Greetings to Ositos’ Parents: 

As you know, we have been working hard with the Theme “Knowing Plants”. 

This week we will studying the variety of plants that our planet has to offer and how to take care of them. 

This will include demonstrating to children the benefits of plants that we enjoy daily through some fun activities. 

Also we will be using real vegetables and fruits as a demonstration for the kids and we have some fun learning about how important plants are to keep our planet green.

We will also have a brief talk about the importance to take care of our planet and the benefits such as oxygen, clean water, food and our beautiful trees. 

 

Objectives we will be working on are as follows: 

Language: 

·         Poster about trees.
·         Poster of pictures with different types of fruits and vegetable.
·         Flash cards.

 Cognitive: 

·         Learning new vocabulary.
·         Reviewing numbers and counting from 1 to 10 and backward 10 to 1. 
·         Identify shapes, sizes, and textures. 

 Psychomotor: 

·         Tracing the letter Gg.
·         Tracing names.

 Socio-emotional:  

 *Enjoying songs, poem and riddles
