What are we learning?
Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will learn to
be little gardeners and we will discuss about nature, trees and plants. We will
continue creating safe learning environments that offer the children the
opportunity to explore and experiment with nature. We have scheduled exciting
learning activities that will allow us to continue strengthening motor and
cognitive-sensory skills such as planting flower seeds in our own pots to
decorate our garden, collecting dry leaves to create a collage, creating a
flower with clay, having a camping day and visit the Flower Shop at Sff! that
will be located in the lobby.
Thank you once again for all
your support and for letting us play such an important role in your child’s
life.
Best Regards,
Miss Amparo and Miss Claudia

Materials for Special Projects/Activities
●
Bring a pot for Monday’s activity.
●
Bring a hat, flashlight, water bottle, small tent (if you have
any of these items at home) and a snack.
●
Bring a real flower from your garden or an artificial one for
Flower Shop Day.
●
Have your child wear swimsuit, splashers or swim diapers and
water shoes for Splash Day. Bring a towel and a plastic bag for wet items. Pack
all these items in a tote bag for your child. We recommend to label the bag,
swimsuit, towel and shoes with your child’s name.
🔆
Friendly Reminders
●
Check your child’s cubby and remove everything and bring new set
of clothing that is appropriate to sunny weather.
●
Sunscreen and mosquito repellant are important to protect your
child because he/she is very susceptible to sunburn/mosquito bites. Yet
applying sunscreen and mosquito repellent to your child requires planning. If
sunscreen and mosquito repellent must be applied to your child, make sure to
fill out an administration or authorization form specifying when sunscreen and
mosquito repellant should be applied and be sure to supply the sunscreen and
mosquito repellant, label the bottles with your child's name and place them in
a ziploc bag.
● If you have a little tent at home please bring it on Wednesday for our Camping Day.
