Week of October 5th-9th

Ositos Class
Miss Amparo & Ms. Luz
Week of October 5th – October 9th
Theme of the Week: “Mis Sentimientos /My Feelings”

Dear Ositos Parents,
This week we will focus on our feelings and emotions. Emotional expression and emotional regulations are two important processes in the early childhood years. All areas of development are supported when parents and teachers give children words to name their emotions and feelings; labeling feelings lets children know that their experiences are normal, and gives them a way to think and talk about what is happening.
Our objectives by areas this week, are:
Socio-emotional: Recognize and manage emotions through representative play.
Cognitive: Classify objects.
Psychomotor: Jump, run to the left/right and forward/backward, turn around, do somersaults.
Language: Use his/her visual memory with rhymes.
Literacy Activity: Learn the letter “Ee.”

Tips:
·         Please give your children, a special hug, special kiss, special attention, to let them know that they are the most important thing in the world for you every day.
·         Make your feelings obvious for children to see: your expression and gestures will help your children notice differences in emotions.
·         Help your children name the way they are feeling and manage their intense emotions.

CANCION/SONG:

 Hola Ositos Parents,
This week we will study the importance of the senses. We will ensure that children recognize what the different senses are, discover you value that these have, and become aware that there are some people who live without them.

Our goal this week is to emphasize the fact that everything we know and recognize in the world that surrounds us is taken in using the senses.
At home, you can help your child to recognize stimulating their senses. For the sense of taste, ask your children to cover and guess the name of the foods they sampled. You can use peanut butter, bananas, raisins, etc.
The value will be working: Empathy

Song of the Week (Cancion de la semana):

CANCION LOS SENTIDOS
Con mis cinco sentidos yo aprenderé
A ver todo a mí alrededor,
Con mis cinco sentidos puedo ver
El cielo con su color.
Escucharte a ti eso me hace feliz
Y sentir el sol sobre mí

Saborear la miel y poder oler
Las flores que hay en el jardín.
Con mis cinco sentidos…...
Poderte abrazar y también escuchar
Mi maestra en Sff
Oler, saborear, escuchar y sentir
El amor que sientes por mi!!
Con mis cinco sentidos….

POESIA
Miramos con los ojos
Por la nariz puedo oler
Tocamos con las manos
Sentimos por la piel
Oímos por las orejas
Cuando escuchamos bien
Y con  la lengua yo disfruto
Galletitas con miel.
