We hope you had a great week!

Thanks to parents who brought dinosaurs and books! Our students had a great time learning about the dinosaurs.

Next week our theme is "Princesses and Knights".  The children will make masks, crowns, castles, shields and swords using recyclable materials.

Other activities for the week are:

• Monday: Make a mural of a castle
• Tuesday: Face Painting
• Wednesday: Tea party
• Thursday: Parade of princesses and knights, followed by a dance. Please bring your child wearing a nice dress, or princess / knight costume on Thursday.
• Friday: Exhibition of drawings of princesses, knights, castles and dragon.

I hope everyone had a great week!

I am back after a fantastic vacation!  I missed a lot my Ositos !

Next week we will be talking about the dinosaurs.  The children will learn about their characteristics

The activities for the week are:

*Monday- We will make dinosaurs using sticks.

*Tuesday- We will make a paleontologist hat and a fossil detector.

*Wednesday- Will will have a very funny puppet show using  dinosaurs.

*Thursday-Your child may bring his/her favorite dinosaur

*Friday- We will have an expedition to excavate fossils in the sand.

Week of July 15th - 19th !!!

Hello Ositos Parents:

This week the theme of the week is “El Zoologico” / “The Zoo”. It will be fantastic; the children will make zoo animal masks and their own zoo animal book. We will also make cupcakes!

J  Monday July 15^th. - It’s crazy hair day!

J  Tuesday July 16^{th. –} We will be very busy having fun while we create our mural with the animals we see in the zoo.  You can bring some zoo animal toy if your child has it available at home.

J  Wednesday July 17^th   We will create a fabulous mask that will be using in our “Festival Masks and Hats”

J  Thursday July 18^th   We go to the zoo, we walk through the school watching the murals created by all classrooms.

J  Friday July 19^th Mask’s Festival!

We hope you had a wonderful Independence Day!!

Next week we will be talking about the theme “Las Olimpiadas/The Olympics”
We will do different arts and games related with sports.

Our special activities will be the following:
*Monday-Your child needs to wear the color of her/his favorite team.
*Tuesday-Dressed as a sportsman/sportswoman, also the children will make torch using cardboard tube.
*Wednesday-Bicycle day- Bring your child bicycle and helmet labeled.
*Thursday-The children will make medals.
*Friday-Olimpics Day/Dia de las olimpiadas-Each classroom will represent a color, please bring your child with blue T-shirt.  We will do different games and have lots of fun!!!

Week of July 1st- 5th !!!

Hola Ositos parents:

We hope you had a great week!

Next week we will be talking about the theme: “Celebrando la Independencia/Celebrating Independence Day”
The children will learn more about why we celebrate The Independence of United States.

Our special activities will be the following:
*Monday- We will make a headbands and hat allude to Independence.
*Tuesday-During recycling class we will make fireworks using cardboard tubes (Thanks parents who brought cardboard tubes and other recyclables items). We will also have our picnic this day!
*Wednesday- Independence Parade- The children will use masks alluding to Independence, American flags, among other things.
*Thursday-July 4^th, Independence Day- Sff! will be closed.
*Friday-Fair games- The children will participate in different games and this activity will be outside.

MUD WEEK!!!

Don’t forget next week we will celebrate: MUD WEEK at Spanish for Fun! Expect your child to get dirty and muddy on their splash days (Wednesday and Friday)

This is the last week in Sff! for Isabella Mercado and Sophia Badia. I wish you luck with all my heart in kindergarten; it was a pleasure to have you in my classroom.

During this week we will be talking about the theme: “We are going camping/ Nos vamos de campamento.”
The special activities for this week are as follows:

*Monday- Hike looking for insects, rocks, flowers and sticks.
*Tuesday- We will make binoculars using cardboard tube.  Please bring some cardboard tube if you have some at home.
*Wednesday- Picnic day
*Thursday- Pajama day, a child who stay for quiet time, also can bring his/her sleeping bag.
*Friday- Camping day,if you have tent, you can bring it.

Is a pleasure to have your child in our ositos classroom!  We are very excited for your child to learn while having fun at our camp.  This week we will talking about  “El verano llego/ Summer is here!.” We will be giving emphasis to the different activities we do in summer and how to protect our body when temperature is high.

*Swim suit (only splash days-Wednesday-morning and Friday-afternoon)
*Insect repellent (If you wish-with authorization form)
*Swimming shoes.

Also please make sure your lotion or cream have a form filled out and signed by you indicating amount to be applied, areas to be protected and areas to be avoided and specific time to be used.  AEROSOLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED, GRACIAS.
