Week of August 29 - September 2!!

Hola Parents!

We have had a great 1^st week of school. We know the rest of the year will be really fun!

The theme of the next two weeks is My Body – Mi Cuerpo

The words we will be learning are:

Los ojos - the eyes

La boca - the mouth

La nariz - the nose

Las pestañas - The eyelids

Las cejas - The eyebrows

Las mejillas - The cheeks

Las manos – The hands

Los pies – The feet

La cabeza- The head

Las piernas – The legs

This week we will start working in our notebooks and we will be cutting and gluing pictures that represent parts of our body.

Week of August 1-5!!!

Hola Parents,

This week’s theme is Plastic Arts, and our Ositos will be creating a Collage with many different materials that will be hanging outside our classroom at the end of this week.

The words we will be learning are:

El Arte- Art

El Dibujo-Drawing

La Escultura-The Sculpture

La Pintura- The Paint

La Fotografia-Fotography

Pictoglifos-Petroglyphs

Among others we will see and talk about some of Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Salvador Dali’s art work.

Please remember to take your wet clothes home on splash days.

We are still receiving donations for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Week of July 25th - 29th!!!!!

Hola Ositos Parents:

This week our theme is "Hacemos Deporte" Let’s play some sports” besides having fun playing soccer and other sports we are having a big tricycle party on Friday morning, and all our children are invited.
This is a fun way to help other children- children who are sick but get help at St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Our Trike A Thon will raise money for kids at St Jude and our children will learn how to ride their trikes safely.
Please bring your trike and helmet labeled; with your donations by Friday July 29
